Whether you call it dinner, supper, or something else, the final meal of the day is something special.
It looks different in every home: a single person or a family, a table, island, or on the couch, a plated meal or serve yourself.
For many, it's a time to take a breath at the end of the day and regroup. It's not as much about fueling your body for energy as it is fueling your soul after a day of life.
For couples and families, it can be a time to reconnect (and sometimes annoy one another!). Plenty of research has shown the positive power of eating dinner together, even just once or twice a week.
Cooking is my favorite creative outlet. I come from a long line of fabulous home cooks. I never feel I measure up, but enjoy being lumped in with those amazing women.

At my home, there are currently three of us at the dinner table: my husband, my adult daughter, and myself. We are a quirky crew with strong food preferences and a variety of dietary allergies and issues. That presents a challenge, but one I enjoy.
At my house, we are not what you would call "fancy." We don't do place settings, and you'll never see Instagram-worthy images taken in my kitchen. We serve ourselves buffet-style, right from the pots and pans. I'm a big believer in doing less dishes when possible! Sometimes we even use paper plates.
My goal is to make it easier for you to put dinner on the table in your home. I will share my meal plans and recipes, and I hope you will share yours too. Let's enjoy getting dinner on the table!
